Terms of Service

Introduction RentHaus is a Nigerian marketplace that connects customers with independent vendors providing event rentals, fashion and occasion wear rentals, equipment rentals, event services, service packages, and custom quotes. By accessing or using RentHaus, users agree to these Terms of Service and any policy referenced in these Terms. What RentHaus Does • Allow customers to search, compare, request quotes, add items to a Booking Cart, and pay for eligible rentals or services. • Allows vendors to list rental items, fashion rentals, event equipment, service packages, and quote-based services. • Facilitates approved payments, booking records, vendor payouts, refundable deposits, dispute support, and verification workflows. • Supports customer and vendor trust controls, quote reliability checks, Growth Partner referrals, and marketplace quality controls. Marketplace Role RentHaus is a marketplace platform. Vendors are independent businesses or individuals. Unless expressly stated, RentHaus does not own listed items, directly perform listed services, employ vendors, or guarantee every vendor action. RentHaus may assist with verification, listing review, payment collection, deposit handling, dispute support, and protection eligibility where available. 1.4 Account Registration and Verification Users must provide accurate, current, and complete account information. RentHaus may require email verification, phone verification, government-issued ID, NIN where applicable, selfie verification, business documents, CAC documents, bank account confirmation, address details, item ownership evidence, portfolio evidence, and additional verification for high-risk bookings or high-value rentals. 1.5 Rental Items and Event Services Rental items are physical goods rented for a defined period. Event services are professional services performed according to a package, quote, schedule, or agreed scope of work. Some listings may combine both, such as decoration packages that include physical materials and setup service. 1.6 Booking Cart, Event Cart, and Rental Cart RentHaus may allow customers to add multiple rentals, service packages, and quote-based services to one Booking Cart. The customer-facing label may appear as Event Cart, Rental Cart, Service Cart, or Cart depending on the customer intent. Items may have different statuses, including Ready to Book, Quote Required, Needs Vendor Confirmation, Unavailable, or Checked Out. 1.7 Pricing and Payment Final payable amounts will be shown before checkout. Prices may include rental fees, service fees, delivery fees, setup fees, refundable deposits, security deposits, platform fees, payment processing fees, protection fees where applicable, taxes, or statutory charges. Payments must be made through approved RentHaus channels unless expressly authorized by RentHaus. 1.8 Quote Acceptance A quote is not a confirmed booking until the customer completes the required payment, deposit, or other confirmation step shown in the checkout flow. If a customer accepts a quote but does not pay within the stated time, the quote acceptance may expire, and the vendor may release the date or item. 1.9 Off-Platform Transactions Users must not use RentHaus to discover, contact, or negotiate with customers or vendors and then complete the transaction outside RentHaus to avoid fees or platform rules. Off-platform payments are not covered by RentHaus booking records, refund support, deposit handling, dispute support, or RentHaus Protection. 1.10 Trust, Risk, and Abuse Controls RentHaus may use verification status, booking history, quote behaviour, payment completion rate, dispute history, refund patterns, device or account risk signals, and marketplace conduct to apply limits, additional verification, deposit requirements, manual review, account restrictions, or suspension. Risk flags are internal and are not always shown to users. 1.11 Limitation of Liability To the extent permitted by applicable law, RentHaus is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses arising from platform use, vendor conduct, customer conduct, event cancellation, third-party provider failure, force majeure, payment gateway downtime, or internet disruption. RentHaus’ transaction liability, if any, shall not exceed the platform fees received by RentHaus for the affected transaction, except where the law requires otherwise. Governing Law The laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria govern these Terms. Users remain responsible for complying with applicable local laws, venue rules, safety obligations, tax obligations, and regulatory requirements relevant to their transaction.
